NPRC holds classes at more than twenty (20) instructional and workforce development locations throughout its service region.

NPRC is a non-profit, public institution of higher education and holds the distinction of being a  501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

NPRC is an open admission institution. We only require an application and your high school diploma or equivalent to enroll in academic courses.

Admissions requirements for workforce development classes vary. For example, EMT courses require attendees to be at least 16 years old, CDA admissions requires employment at a licensed childcare center, and CDL admissions requires department of transportation physicals and drug screens.

Academic courses are $185.00 per credit hour, while workforce development courses often vary in cost based on length of the training.

NPRC offers financial aid to eligible students. Students in select programs may be eligible for additional funding opportunities through community organizations such as PA CareerLink® and the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR). The transferability of NPRC academic credits is determined by the receiving institution. NPRC has transfer agreements with institutions for students who plan to transfer to a four-year institution. We encourage students to speak with the college or university they wish to transfer credits to prior to attending classes with NPRC to confirm courses will transfer.

Workforce development programs are often not transferrable.

Typically, it takes less time and money to complete a degree at a two-year college than to earn a four-year degree at a traditional college or university. This allows you to save money and begin your career more quickly. Many community and regional colleges like NPRC are two-year institutions where you can earn an associate degree to prepare you for a career.
