Claira Wilson Utilizes ed2go and NPRC Partnership for Future in Healthcare

Claira Wilson

Looking for a way to change her life and build a brighter future for herself and her children, Bradford’s Claira Wilson was pointed towards NPRC late in 2025. Nearly a year later, she’s approaching the completion of a hybrid dental assistant program offered through NPRC’s partnership with ed2go.

“I learned about NPRC through Ashley Hulings at the PA CareerLink® office in Bradford. She recommended the programs to me. When I signed up for the dental assisting program, I was looking for something I was able to do almost solely online, and NPRC offered that. I can do my course work nearly anytime and anywhere, it’s very convenient.”

Wilson started her dental assisting program on January 10, 2026, and will finish the program on January 19, 2027. She is currently a full-time student in the program and, when she’s not focused on her studies, she takes care of her two little boys. Though it has been a challenging chapter, she knows the end is near and that her dedication will be worthwhile. “Finishing this dental assisting program is a significant milestone for me. It represents months of long days and late nights studying, pushing through every challenge to build a career I enjoy and a future I am excited for.

She continued, “Dental assisting wasn’t a childhood dream for me, but I really needed and wanted a stable career. When I learned about the tuition free training program through PA CareerLink®, it was a great opportunity for me. Once I started the course work, I realized this is a profession I enjoy. I would like to further my education beyond this one day in healthcare.”

Wilson is also pleased with the support she’s received from NPRC’s Assistant Director of Workforce Development, Dawn Hull, who has been a big help since the beginning of her journey. “Anytime I hit a roadblock, she is always happy to help me get back on track.”

We are #NPRCProud of you, Claira! Keep up the great work. You’ll be making a difference in healthcare in no time!
