Racheal Streich

We are #NPRCProud to celebrate business management student Racheal Streich of St. Marys on American Business Women’s Day. Originally from Potter County and a graduate of Austin Area High School, Streich has called Elk County home since 2019. She works at Elk County Real Estate and has nearly five years of experience in the real estate industry.

Streich enrolled at NPRC in the fall of 2025 and is thankful to have a second chance at earning a college degree. Not only is this a milestone that’s important to her career, but it’s also significant because she will be one of the first in her family to earn a college degree. Streich balances working full-time andbeing a mom to three young children,while taking three courses each term at NPRC. Her goal is to complete her coursework andparticipate in the College’s 2028 Commencement Ceremony. “It’s been a great experience this time around. I’ve changed and matured a lot as a person. The six classes I’ve completed have been great, especially Interpersonal Communication. This course has already helped me become a better business professional.”

This term, Streich is grateful to be taking courses in accounting and marketing. As an independent contractor in her current role, she sees value in learning more about bookkeeping and howbetter market herself as a realtor in the area. “I’ve enjoyed learning from Professor John Abplanalp in my accounting class. He is very experienced and I know his course will be very beneficial to me as I close out my books for the year in the coming months.”

Streich also appreciates the community and overall support she hasreceived since launching her career in real estate late in 2021. Family members, friends, and colleagues have supported her as she builds her own small business under the Elk County Real Estate brokerage. What’s most important to her is settingan example to her three kids, all under the age of seven, that it’s never too late to learn and that they’re capable of doing hard thing. She’s proving she can balance being a boss at work and a loving mom at home.

With support from her parents, in-laws, and husband, she has help caring for the kids when she is busy with work and school. “I’m guilty of not always taking the recognition, but I’m genuinely so proud of being a Dean’s List student twice now. I was not the top student in high school, so doing this well in school so far has been meaningful to me. I look forward to completing this degree and crossing the stage one day. It could mean unlocking more opportunities in my business career and that’s exciting to have more possibilities in the future.”

While her career as a realtor brings her great joy, her roles of mom and wife will always be the most meaningful. “Being a mom is the most difficult job I’ve ever had, but it’s the best job I’ve ever had as well. I’m proud of myself and the life I’ve built with my husband. He is my biggest supporter and is the first one to remind me I can excel at work and in school. He was the biggest advocate of me going into real estate after I decided to leave the medical field as a dental assistant. The change has been great for not only me, but my entire family.”
